Camp4Less is the brainchild of three Scouters from the
Etowah District of Northeast Georgia Council of BSA. While
attending Wood Badge course SR-864, and as members of the
Buffalo Patrol, Shawn LaFave, Jay Phillips and Patrick Bell
met and became close friends. The three decided that they
needed to do something that would benefit the scouting
community as well as anyone who takes advantage of the great
outdoor activities this country has to offer. |
|
But, it was out of necessity that the three
felt
Camp4less had to become a reality. They saw first hand
the many boys,
families and leaders that did not have the proper gear for
an overnighter. They felt it important for anyone to have
access to high quality gear and not have to worry about
the high retail prices of outfitting themselves. |
|
As they developed what Camp4Less should stand
for, they realized that they needed a field expert. This
expert would have years of experience to make sure Camp4Less
offered high quality gear at fair prices. The search
was on! |

How he had impressed them
with his dedication to the program, his skills and his
knowledge of scouting and high adventure. Chuck
Treadway became the fourth partner of Camp4Less. As a faculty member
at Philmont Training Center, Chuck brings a level of
experience that cannot be matched. |
